Faster path to initial registration: Simplified Survey Requirements

The Portuguese Flag Administration has revised the requirements for the Initial Survey Report for Registration. For vessels planning to change flag to Portugal and meeting the standard age criteria, a Statement of Conformity issued by the Classification Society is now sufficient. No on-board verification required.

For vessels accepted beyond the standard age criteria, on-board verification may still apply. After registration in MAR, only statutory surveys and certification as per Portuguese Circular 32 and IACS PR 27 are required.
