First river cruise vessel registered in Madeira operating on the Rhine

The river cruise vessel EMERALD LUNA is now operating under the Portuguese flag. Together with all stakeholders we are glad that now the first inland waterways vessel operating in the Rhine/Main/Danube area has just been registered in the International Shipping Register of Madeira (MAR). The ship is part of the Emerald Cruises fleet, owned by the Scenic Group.

EUROMAR, the agency of the International Shipping Register of Madeira (MAR), is sure that this is an important milestone towards a positive service improvement in the European inland waterways sector. After the challenging last two years in tourism including river cruise travels, EUROMAR is ready to offer its reliable and up-to-date service also to the inland waterways navigation and river cruise market. Recently, there are around 270 river cruise vessels operating on Rhine/Main/Danube area and around 400 on European waterways in total.
